Verne & Laurie Loose

Ingenuity Required and Delivered

When Verne and Laurie Loose began major remodeling on their home a few years ago, they chose Pella Windows and Doors for their window needs. They called Robyn Sanchez for a consultation, and their work was done in three phases over the years.

“My experience was extremely positive beginning with Robyn’s initial visit. She was very professional and on time,” says Verne. “And did a good job of measuring and estimating...very responsive and customer-focused. Her numbers were always accurate.”

Even though there were difficult situations to deal with, Verne and Laurie have nothing but praise for the installation crew. “They were very careful with our furniture and possessions,” notes Verne. “We never felt any apprehension with having Steve’s crew of four or five guys in our home.”

“Our projects required more than taking windows out and putting the same size windows back in,” says Verne. “They required more ingenuity. Many of our windows are what are called circle-head, with the half-round panes at the top. Steve figured out how to trim those out properly inside. I’m very happy with what they did.”

Another challenge was the circular, turret-style entryway. It had been built with long, narrow stained glass windows, but these left the entry too dark for the couple’s taste. To allow more light in, the Looses had the Pella crew replace some of the panels with clear glass. According to Verne, “The guy who did this was exceptionally careful and did precise work.

“The end result with the windows is that our home stays warmer in winter and cooler in summer — and is quieter, too. The Pella windows fit so tightly; they are quality windows. Our electric and gas bills have gone down as a result.”

With each stage of remodeling and window replacement, the Looses called upon Pella. “The performance of the windows and the crew made me want to come back,” says Verne. “I’d recommend Pella to anyone very confidently.”
